Kafanchan Diocese Partners With Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC).

In a bid to achieve her vision of a self reliant diocese, the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan is set to provide petroleum products at the Government controlled prize as it partners with the Nigeria Petroleum Company NNPC. The partnership saw its culmination at the commissioning of the Diocesan NNPC Mega Filling Station at Fayit Kagoma in the morning hours of August 11, 2012. Read more


Kafanchan Diocese Strategises for Quality Education

The Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan through her Justice Development and Peace Commission, and in conjunction with the diocesan Education Commission brought together teachers and students from all her schools and institutions in a workshop to step down the Lenten Campaign for 2012 with the theme: “Access to Qualitative Education: A Sure Way to Peace and Security.”
The early rains that showered heavily on 14th July were defied by the participants who comprised mostly young teachers and experienced educationists and heads of the various Catholic schools within the diocese.
In an opening remark the Catholic Bishop of Kafanchan Most Rev. Joseph Danlami Bagobiri commended the organisers of the workshop. Read more in news & Events.

Sisters Of Beatitudes Kafanchan Diocese Profess 9

The diocesan foundation of the Sisters of the Beatitudes Kafanchan in a solemn Holy Mass on 29th June 2012 (Saints Peter and Paul) professed nine of its Novices into the Religious life at the Chapel of the Resurrection Madakiya.

The Father Founder of the Sisters of the Beatitudes Most Rev. Joseph Danlami Bagobiri who presided at the Mass was full of praises for the work of God and the graces God has been bestowing on the foundation since its inception about ten years ago. In his homily, the Bishop described Sts Peter and Paul as “Apostles, Martyrs, Witnesses, Teachers, Prophets and Founders of Christian Communities. Two great men who so cooperated with the Grace of God that by their lives and teaching they helped in shaping the direction and the way the Church and Christians are to live in the world.” For this he said the Professed are committed to the care and intercession of the two great saints before God. Following the Church’s designation of the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as the day of the sanctification of priests, the Bishop and Priests of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan in a unique fraternity marked the day in intellectual and spiritual fashion. For the Priests of the young diocese, June 14 and 15 2012 will be two days that will remain ever fresh in their memories as they went through activities that left them more challenged and equally energized to continue the stormy journey of priestly celibacy in our sexually saturated 21st century. Second Diocesan Synod

The Diocese of Kafanchan held its second diocesan synod on 17-23 October, 2011 with the theme “The Church: Family of God in Service to Reconciliation, Justice, Peace and Integral Human Development ……” You are my witnesses” (LK. 24:28). The clergy, religious and Catholic faithful of the diocese came together with the Chief Shepherd of the diocese to discuss the direction of the local church.
